BAKINO Beanies started as a result of one late afternoon 'eureka' moment! The idea came to me to use the left-over yarns that I had from my many knitting projects over the years.

As a committed knitter, the idea of creating colourful beanies was a natural progression from my previous knitted creations.  Beanies, which I could complete in a couple of evenings while watching TV, using the remaining parts of my many existing balls of wool - some big, some small - sounded just perfect!  I thought, 'I could make unique gifts for my children, nephews and nieces, grandchildren and friends'!  Of course, once I started, there was no return.  Over the next few months, I created and gave away over 40 beanies...  Everyone in my family had a beanie or two...my friends had my beanies...and I still kept making them :).  'What now?', I asked myself one day, looking at the colourful bunch.  Indeed, the time came to show my beautiful beanies to more people and to share them more widely!  Instagram brought me likes from all over the world, and with them came queries: where could we buy them?  As a result, and finally, here it is: my online BAKINO Beanies Shop for you!
